The Centurion (AMD) is designed especially for gaming. With an AMD CPU and the objective of gaming, the decision to opt for the new "Zen 4" architecture chips is an easy one. We're seeing real world average benchmarks over 20% higher than the previous generation with this new Ryzen 5, and AMD is also delivering on DDR5 and PCIe 5 support for these new CPUs and motherboard chipsets. This is definitely a leap forward rather than another small step.

With the significantly enhanced capabilities of the CPU for this generation, we needed to find the perfect GPU to pair it with to deliver the gaming performance it deserves. It was impossible to look away from the NVIDIA based GeForce RTX 3060 Ti's and 3070 Ti's. These GPUs deliver great gaming performance across a wide variety of game titles and engines - everything from eSports, FPS shooters, and AAA cinematic titles with ray tracing - they'll deliver everything you need. And with the surrounding ecosystem of supporting software which NVIDIA does much better than the competition - such as Reflex, DLSS, and Broadcast - you'll have the tools you need to simply get every ounce of potential out of them without needing a degree in Aerospace Engineering.

With our CPU and GPU settled, we need to start thinking about how to optimize temps for consistent performance. Any good cooling solution starts with making sure you've got a cooler capable of keeping the CPU boosting even under heavy gaming loads. With a tdp of 105-watts, the new Ryzen 5 demands quite a bit more cooling than it's predecessor, so a high performance cooler is no longer optional - it's required if you're going to push your PC during gaming sessions. So we're going with the ARCTIC Freezer 34 eSports DUO for this one as our standard choice. This is a battle-tested and proven cooler rated up to 210 watts, so we've left plenty of overhead here - no sense cutting it close on something so critical. And if you want to take things to the next level and add some all-in-one liquid cooling, we offer the Lian Li Galahad AIO 240 RGB UniFan Edition for this one. A massive cold plate provides entire-IHS coverage for the CPU, and a high quality pump and well-machined cooling fins ensure efficient heat removal.

Next we looked to the motherboard. The quickest way to ensure your system deteriorates quickly is to cut corners on the motherboard. The quality of the power solution, cooling system, capacitors, and VRM truly matter more and more the longer you play on a system. We chose ASUS' TUF Gaming X670E-PLUS WiFi for this assignment. The X670E chipset is inarguably the most advanced motherboard chipset available as we write this - with support for 24 lanes of PCIe 5.0, no other chipset on the market is as future-ready. And ASUS' TUF Gaming boards always deliver on durability and longevity. 14+2 teamed power stages (70A rated), WiFi 6E, Bluetooth v5.3, and USB Type C support mean this one has all the connectivity that matters most. And it's built on a board with military grade components, and a comprehensive cooling system that gives us the confidence to warranty your build for life!

When it comes to storage, not all "SSDs" are created equal. Far from it. SATA based SSDs are outdated and usually provide read/write speeds somewhere between 200-550 Mb/s. Mechanical hard drives have average read/write speeds of 80-160 Mb/s. Compare these figures to our Kingston KC3000 M.2 NVMe SSDs that throw down with a minimum rating of 7000 Mb/s sequential read and 6000 Mb/s sequential write speeds. If you're still running on an old hard drive or SATA based SSD, you're going to love the difference these drives make in your system. Load times? What load times? Or maybe game, stream, and record simultaneously without saturating your drive bandwidth.

We stick with Kingston for our memory choice on this one as well. The Kingston Fury Beast RGB DDR5-5200 memory is the perfect choice to handle your high-fps gaming. This is bar none the most consistently reliable DDR5 memory we've ever tested so far. 16GB is enough if you're just gaming, but we offer a 32GB option if you want to add a bit more for the future.

We've chosen a Lian Li Lancool 215 for the case on this one. With two monster 200mm front fans,  this is an absolute banger of a case for airflow. It also delivers on the programmable RGB lighting so it doesn't just perform - it looks great doing it!

If cutting corners on the motherboard is the best way to ensure premature system failure, a cheap power supply is next in line as a surefire way to ensure excessive wear and tear on things. A steady supply of smooth, efficient power flowing through a high quality board is the only recipe for cooking up a system that will perform at its peak longer. So we juice this one with a fully modular, 80+ gold-rated, retail version unit to ensure we're providing quality that's up to our extremely high standards. Every part we choose is carefully considered with our clients' long-term experiences in mind, and the power supply is no exception!
