The Strategos - Updated for 13th Gen Intel

Strategos meant military general to the ancient Greeks. Own. The. Battlefield. This one will definitely allow you to lead your troops to glory in any game you can throw at it.
This model kicks off with either the Intel Core i7-13700K or Core i9-13900K "Raptor Lake" CPU. At the time of writing, these are the best available CPUs on the market for all-around gaming. We could talk about fine-grained core tuning, higher clock speeds, improved power efficiency and the larger die size enabling more cores and optimized architecture for larger L3 and L2 caches over the previous generation - but that would be "getting too granular" according to the marketing consultant we found on Reddit. So we'll just say it's the current best available gaming CPU and leave it there.
For the GPU, we give you some options that will accommodate a few different budget points depending whether you want "high end" or "super high end" territory. If you want the "super" high end zone, then the brand new GeForce RTX 4080 is your jam. This GPU features NVIDIA's new "Ada Lovelace" architecture. The generational improvement in performance over the previous generation "Ampere" platform is significant. We're not the company to bore you with the mathematical calculations in theoretical compute performance potential involving stream multiprocessors, GPU shaders, tensor cores, VRAM Bus width and all that stuff. (Ok, we secretly nerd out on that stuff, you got us.) But in terms of what we're told our clients actually care about - by our clients this time, not our Reddit marketing consultant - this GPU represents an average of about a 30% improvement in gaming specific benchmarks over the previous generation's RTX 3090 Ti. We feel like that's a lot.
If you're content to stick to 3090 Ti levels of performance - which is still "recklessly slam all settings to MAX for the next couple years" territory, then the brand new GeForce RTX 4070 Ti is your winner. As much as we hate to see the end of the line for the stalwart 3080, the 4070 Ti is superior in every way for gaming and runs less than $100 more. At this point, as much as we hate to say it, there's no justification for a 3080 in a top-tier gaming system any more with the 4070 Ti being available.
Now let's talk motherboard. We couldn't look past the ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E Gaming WiFi for this one. The quickest way to ensure your system deteriorates quickly is to cut corners on the motherboard. The quality of the power solution, cooling system, capacitors, and VRM truly matter more and more the longer you play on a system. Motherboards are sort of like people - they all age differently. And like people, some of them age more like bad cheese than fine wine. Since we provide a lifetime warranty on our builds, we felt like we should use the fine wine kind. 18+1 power (90A rated) along with top quality chokes, capacitors, VRM and heat sinks - this one screams quality. And it carries all the connectivity that matters - onboard WiFi 6E, Bluetooth v5.3, tons of USB input/output including multiple Type-C, and PCIe Gen 5 ready, this is a platform that will carry you into the future with confidence.
For our case, it's the new Lian Li Lancool III. This case provides an awesome platform for a gaming system. It looks great from every angle, gives tons of room for large AIOs and GPUs, and delivers massive airflow for great thermals. Literally everything you want in a case for a gaming focused build!
For memory, we've gone ahead and selected a 32GB serving of Kingston Fury Renegade RGB DDR5-6000 speed. This is plenty of memory for any modern game engine - and will be enough to stream as well.
And of course you need one of the absolute best M.2 NVMe SSDs on earth, so we reach for the top shelf again and grab a 1TB version of the Kingston Fury Renegade. With read/write speeds of 7300/6000 Mb/s on the 1TB version and 7300/7000 Mb/s on the 2TB version - it's safe to say you won't be left waiting for anything to load!
We power the entire system with a fully modular 1000-watt 80+ gold rated PSU. Said PSU can only be from ASUS, Corsair, EVGA, or Seasonic because we don't deal in nonsense here at Alexander PCs!
Stock cables would be a tragedy for such a beautiful machine, so we add some sleeved cable extensions in your choice of available colorways - it would be wrong not to.
The Strategos comes with Windows 11 Professional installed and updated.
All Alexander PCs systems arrive:
* Fully assembled, with Windows installed, activated and updated
* Memory overclocked
* BIOS and drivers updated and optimized
* Ready to unbox, plug in, install your games and play!
